Hello i need a laptop cooler that has fans for my laptop to sit on.
The covers for the fans on the bottom of my laptop protrude a little
bit. I need something that the feet of my laptop can rest on. The
pressure that is created on the fan covers from resting on something
causes problems with the fans. And the feet are pretty close to the
outer edge of the laptop case.

Here are the measurements of my laptop
The dimensions of the WidowPC The Sting 9096 are:
15.48 x 11.75 x 2

These coolers are too small

thebot-ga,

I'm having a hard time locating a cooler that large with fans.

Although, here is a possible solution (no fans):
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0009AD3BY/103-1231924-9247823?v=glance

If you are not happy with this cooler, I will continue searching. :)

I definately need one with fans. The Iraq heat combined with the ATI
x800 and pentium 4 3.4 makes my laptop a portable furnace.

just had a look around and can't find anything that wide - strange!

so.....

two things i can think of

1, buy some self adhesive rubber feet and a smaller laptop cooler
(using the feet to raise unit stopping damage to your fan grills)

2, Get a cooler that doesn't conform to the "flat plate" design
