I want to buy a wood burning stove INSERT for my fireplace but have no
idea what brands are good, and what brands are not. Every store I go
to, has one brand, and the salesman tells me that his brand he sells
is the best. I'm just looking for some unbiased opinions, or better
yet, FACTS on what stove brand is the best quality for the price.
Consumerreports doesn't evaluate them so I'm at a loss now. A perfect
home run would be the above answered AND a link to where I can buy the
stove online so I can cut out the salesman.

From some research I did, it seems like they run between $1000-$2000
so I suppose that would be fair. I'd like it to be strong enough to
run in my finished basement and cut a vent or two through the ceiling
to have the heat rise to my living room.
