What was the rate of take-up of the Flash 7 player? (not all Flash
players, version specific). We have developed a unique utility that
gives users with Flash 7 player, unique new functionality.
"Unfortunately" Flash 8 now gives users this feature, with far greater
ease. If I can draw parallels between the rate of take up of specific
versions of Flash (esp V7, or even other new product versions,
non-Flash) I can estimate how long we can use the "we run on Flash 7"
as a competitive advantage. I'd like this information (if possible)
broken down by period following release (eg 3mths after release,
6mths, 9mths, 12mths, 15mths, 18mths, 21mths, 24mths etc). The data on
the "Macromedia Flash Player Version Penetration" page on
macromedia.com, only gives figures from Dec 2004, while Flash 7 was
released Sept 2003. Thanks
