Question ID: 568083
I am using 2 networks cards on my pc, one wired, one wireless. They
are connected to 2 different networks (2 routers with different
internet connections). Is there any way to force a certain
application to use one network card and not the other.
Basically, I want to have all my bittorrent downloads go through one
network so it doesn't interfere with my server traffic.
Thanks.

Hello Russellz,

Could you indicate which operating system you are using? The tools to
implement such a capability will vary by OS.

You can tell each coputer which router to use. Or you can encrypt each
router and give access to each Pc to diff router. Such as, let's see.
If you ahve wireless connection then you can encrypt both router and
don't give access to wireless. Please clarify that you have 2 pc or
one.

If you have one pc and you have wireless connction and wired
connection then i recommend to remove wireless conction.

I have one pc with two network cards. I want to specify which
connection at the application level, not the pc level.

Each NIC will get a different IP. Configure the application (depending
on the app) to "bind" to the IP of the NIC you want to use for that
app.

Hope this helps.
