What is the basis, and extent, of authority of a public school district over children? What authority does a public school district have over my child? When does their authority begin and end, i.e., does it begin when the school bells ring for the beginning and the end of the day? |

Hi, Here are two cases by the ACLU that suggest the school districts sometimes think they have broader authority than they do. The other two sites are from the PA state law, the first one the section of it about students, the second one, the whole part on education. http://www.aclu.org/Cyber-Liberties/Cyber-Liberties.cfm?ID=11349&c=60 http://www.splc.org/newsflash.asp?id=1063 http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/022/chapter12/chap12toc.html http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/022/022toc.html I hope this is of some help, Myoarin |
