We need to know how many units of personal wired hands-free devices
were sold in the United Kingdom in 2004. Alternatively, how many
worldwide or in N. America or in Europe would be help. These devices
can be wired and come in two types: dangling mic, or over-the-ear with
a mini-boom. We are not concerned with Bluetooth (wireless) devices.
Nor are we concerned with in-car devices with speakers. Most are
manufactured by Plantronics and GN Netcom and distributed by Vodafone,
The Link, Carphone Warehouse. They sell for about £10 - £15. If you
cannot get units, then, providing £M (millions of pounds sterling)
would be ok.
