When you say exact model and tension, I assume you're referring to the equipment he was using during his recent appearance at the 2005 US Open. While I could not locate any data for his equipment for that particular match, I was able to gather some information about the equipment he's been using in recent matches leading up to that appearance. And as his various equipment logs will show, there are some consistencies to the equipment preferences he's been using over the last couple of years, so it can be reasonably assumed much of the information is current. Back in march he was using this equipment at the 2005 Pacific Life Open 2005 Racquet: Head i.Radical String: Luxilon/Babolat Big Banger Ace/VS gut 1.3 Tension 23/22 Kilograms 2004 Nasdaq 2004 Racquet: Head i.Radical String:Technifibre Original 1.35 Tension 23/22 kilograms 2004 Pacific Life Open 2004 Racquet: Head String: Tecnifibre 1.4 Tension: 24/23 Kilograms 2003 Pacific Life Open 2003 Racquet: Head i.radical String :Tecnifibre TGV Tension 23/22 Kilograms Here's a quick reference to convert kilograms to pounds for you Kilograms Pounds 22 48.5 23 50.7 24 52.9 I gathered all of this information from a Dutch website Linked here: http://www.bigbanger.dk/index2.php Their information reportedly comes from The United States Racket Stringers Association http://www.usrsa.com/ An association who maintains equipment logs for all the major tennis matches. Unfortunately, this information is only available to subscribers (1 month/$9) I hope this helps you -johnny_moniker (Total search and answer time 45 minutes) |
