chinainfo...

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab.
At the bottom of the dialog page, click on the
'Languages' button. Select the Chinese language
option and click 'Remove'. That should do it.

Your question was about IE displaying in Chinese.
You shouldn't have to change your Windows language
settings in order to change this.

Akobashikawa-ga's comment on changing the coding
would be the next logical step, and you haven't
confirmed doing that. Try that first, before
considering changing any general Windows settings.

Go to IE -> View -> Encoding and see if you have
Chinese Traditional or Chinese Simplified selected.
If so, choose Auto-select and Unicode (UTF-8).

Let me know if this resolves the issue...

If you really want to change your Windows Language settings,
go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options.
On the General tab, set your locale (location) to English
(United States) and uncheck all languages except English
under the 'Language Settings for the system' box.

I guess inmediate level is choose in your IE a specific non chinese
code page. At menu, select View, Codepage, then something like Western
(no automatic).
Next level could be uninstall chiness language support for your IE
(you say this not work).
Next level could be uninstall asian language support for your Win XP, if you can.

I tried to delete chinese fonts in c:\windows\fonts but system
prevents me from doing that. Saying the font is in using or driver is
read only.
