Question ID: 569059
Identify the song and artist (and preferably a source where I can
purchase the entire CD the tune occurs on) that's associated with the
xylophone melody at: http://ron.dotson.org/lemon.mid

I obtained it with permission from another web site, and was told it
was performed Gigi Leung, but I have reason to believe it may be Tarcy
Su instead. Other than that, I have no clue.

P.S.
I forgot to mention that I was told the tune is called "Lemon."

Dear rsdotson,

The actual name of the original tune is "Lemon Tree", and it was
created and recorded by the German band "Fool's Garden" in 1995. Music
and lyrics were written by the band members Volker Hinkel and Peter
Freudenthaler. It was released as a single and proved to be very
successful: It was #1 in the German charts for 4 weeks in early 1996,
and it reached very high chart positions in other countries, too.

Apart from single release, the song was also included on the band's
1995 album "Dish Of The Day".

This album is currently not available in English-speaking countries;
but you can order it from Amazon Germany:
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000006YRK/

A side note: Chinese artist Tracy Su indeed recorded this song, too.
But she did just a cover version. The original is the recording by
Fool's Garden.

In case you would like to read the original lyrics, you can find them
here [1], together with the other lyrics from the "Dish Of The Day"
album (scroll down a bit):

Hope this answers your question!
Regards,
Scriptor
