Financial damage can only be calculated if you know the business well. Other losses are in the image of the company (imagine if cnn.com got defaced, the main page traded for something else ... maybe with porn ... what would it do to cnn's image?). Would you buy a product from amazon.com if their site was hacked? Even a year later from the event you would consider not buying from a hacked site... The damage is a variable that will only be solved when you know the business. |
