Hello,

There was this SCI-FI horror which i saw in the 90's on TV. It's
about a military base or a research base located on a barren planet
(desert-planet) (probably Mars?) and there were those monsters which
took the form (the aspect) of big balls which were turning towards
that military base. The monsters were monitorized through radars all
the time, and often was starting the countdown: "They are approaching:
7 metres...4 metres...2 metres". In the end of the movie they
penetrated the base and killed almost the entire crew.

It ISN'T "Screamers" (1995) or "Critters". The monsters were made
of flesh and blood, they were NOT robots or machines. Another thing,
they took the form of big balls only when they were moving towards the
base, and they were moving (turning) very very fast. Without moving,
they had monster aspect.

Howdy vlad123-ga,

Maybe it was "Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation" that you saw?

Internet Movie Database (IMDB) summary of the above.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367093/plotsummary

"After a violent combat against the bugs in their planet, with many casualties
of humans under the command of a coward officer, a group of troopers looks for
shelter in an abandoned military post."

It isn't "Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation", since this
movie was released in 2004. I saw that movie in the 90's on TV and i
think (although i am not 100% sure) that it was made in the 90's; the
special effects were very good.

    Could it be "Telepresence" (1997)?

Could it be the original "Starship Troopers," which was released in 1997?

Hi bobbie7,

It definitly isn't "Telepresence" (1997). I saw the trailer and the
monsters in my movie were completely different, they were not like
insects.

Hi justaskscott,

I saw on imdb.com stills from "Starship Troopers" (1997) and it
isn't the movie i am looking for. The monsters in my movie were not
giant bugs (giant insects), they were big, but not giant.

They were made of flesh and blood, aprox. 2.50 metres in height,
but only standing without moving. They used to move by rolling like
balls, in fact, as i said in the movie's description, when they moved,
they had the aspect of big balls turning towards that military or
research base.

I remembered that inside that base it was a big laboratory with all
researchers dressed in white surgical coats. It was a very strong
contrast between those white surgical coats and the blood flooding
those coats when they were attacked and butchered by the monsters.

Most definitly not Starship Troopers 2 since it was released in 2004
and since I saw the movie and had nothing to do with rolling ball
monsters of any sort.
