In MS Windows applications (I use WordPerfect, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and
Gauss) I would like to know how to set the default files listing as
"Details" instead of "Thumbnails" or "Icons" or "List." I know
already how to do this in Windows Explorer, but I would like to know
how to set globally the default to "Details" so that from any
application, when I browse for a file, the folder and file list would
show up in Details view. Is there such a solution? |

Thanks for the advice, but the procedure you suggest works from within
Windows Explorer, but it doesn't change the default view for other
applications: Notepad, Adobe Acrobat, and Gauss, for example. It is
entirely possible that there is no such global setting.
