If you are talking about 'telephone sales' people, somebody who
answers callers questions and takes orders, then the answer would be
the normal 8 hour shift with a 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute
bathroom breaks. If on the other hand you are thinking of
telemarketers, that's a whole different animal, some are on
commission, some work out of home, some are on salary, some are
hourly, it would vary tremendously if they are selling to the home
user or targeting busines ect.

Wanted more of a time frame regarding how long they should be on the
phone in a typical 8 hour work day....(3 out of 8, 4 out of 8.....?)

They can do calling for first two hours and then take a 15 minute
break. After the break they can call for 90 minutes and take another
30 minutes break. Then 2 hrs of calling and 15 minutes last break,
woud be the best.

Ok...I guess I'm not being clear. I can do the math to know how many
hours a person can work during an 8-hour day. I need to know what the
industry standard is for telephones sales people. Taking into account
prospecting and databasing.
