Hello,

I remember that i saw in the late 90's on HBO a horror movie with a
demon and a negro as the main hero who was chasing the demon. It was
often shown during the movie how the demon was going with hyper-speed
through tunnels under the earth surface. And i remember that in the
end of the movie the demon interrupted somehow the light in the entire
city and the final confrontation in a church with the demon spreading
his wings (huge wings) and reading the wrong way passages from the
Book of Genesis.

I believe the movie was made in the 90's.

I believe your movie may be "Shadowbuilder."

Does this plot summary ring any bells?

Yes, pinkfreud, that's the movie!!!!!

I recognized the demon's face in that photo, and one line said:
"After the wily demon manages to cut electricity to the town, the
group holes up at the aunt's house with a stolen generator and must
fend off some possessed townspeople while the Shadowbulider himself
confronts Chris and promises him that the others will live if Chris
will only surrender himself".

I assume there are not to many horror movies with demons that cut
electricity in a small town.

Thanks a million, pinkfreud, you are an AWESOME RESEARCHER!!!!

I want to give you a bonus of 2.50$, but what shall i do? You need
my card's information? I don't know what i must do in order to pay
your effort because it's for the first time when i post a question
here.

I'm glad to have been able to help you identify your movie as
"Shadowbuilder." I was certain this was the right film; I saw it
several years ago on television, and it contains the plot points that
you mentioned in your question. I particularly remembered the backward
reading from the Book of Genesis.

Finding online descriptions that adequately described the plot was a
bit of a challenge. This is the search string that gave me the best
results:

Google Web Search: shadowbuilder town
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=shadowbuilder+town

"Shadowbuilder" is available on DVD and VHS tape:

Amazon: Shadowbuilder DVD

Amazon: Shadowbuilder VHS

Very best regards,
