I have the properties all lined up with the hosts qq vv and ll and a
dlink 504G/AU  connecting the four ports and the domain all listed as
timlee. I can get the internet no problem, but can only see the files
of each on the network neighbourhood viz qq c ll c and vv c. All the c
drives are shared with the hand on the c showing so.

Be shure to check your firewall settings.
It happened to one of my friends too, he had zonealarm and the setting
was too high on his firewall, this prevented his laptop or any
computer in his house to view the shared files on his main pc.

My guess is that the problem comes from the firewall(its basicaly
desinged to do that)
