What are the basic needs of a dog and the physiological effects of depriving the animal of these needs? If anyone has any information on this I would appreciate it. |

Water, food, and place to go potty. "the physiological effects of depriving the animal of these needs?" If the dog is deprived of food or water, it will die. |

Thanks myoarin. I figured that much out myself!! I'm looking for a lot more detail or info. on where I can get the information. I am looking for expansions under the following headings: Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition; Freedom from physical discomfort and pain; Freedom from injury or disease; Freedom from fear and distress; Freedom to express their normal behavioural needs |

check out the book "how to be your dog's best friend" it sepaks to the psychology of dogs and how to deal with them so they're happy and do the things you want by understanding thier pack psychology> I really enjoyed it and it help getting my puddle problem under better control. here is the author's web site http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/ |
