Firefox is my browser. I love it. It's fantastic. However, I have a problem with the security lock icon. On many secured pages, not all of them, there is a bar across the lock icon. I have some extensions but I uninstalled all of them for a test and it didn't change anything at all. Can somebody help me? | |

Now _I'm_ confused, and will be watching for the Answer! I tried all three links, here are my results: Gmail: No lock at all. FedEx: Locked correctly. Amazon: Lock with a line through it. ~~Cynthia |

Howdy Cynthia, It appears it might have to do with some parts of the target page, such as a graphic, being fetched from a non-secure source, such as another server wherein the connect between the two servers is a non-secure connection. I think the icon is there to tell the user that even though the connection is secure, some aspects of the content were not obtained securely. Looking Forward, denco-ga - Google Answers Researcher |
