In the late 80's or early 90's the Disney Channel used to show a half
hour or maybe 15 minute long program where it would play top 40 music
set to clips of old
Dinsey cartoon clips (Donald Duck, Goofy, etc.). I am not concerned
with the show itself but more about the music played during the ending
credits of the program. It was a rock song of some sort and I need to
know what song that was. What was the song played during the ending
credits of the Disney music video show?

There is no answer at this time.

I can't identify the music used in the closing credits, but the Disney
Channel music video show that you are remembering was called 'DTV.'

"There were no commercial breaks in the actual shows back then, but
rather long breaks between each program which featured cartoons,
infinitely cheesy Disney music videos (run under the 'clever' banner
of Dtv)"

Restless Youth: The Grand Opening Of Planet Hollywood

"I remember loving this cartoon as a child. I also remember it being
featured on a mid 80's disney program called Dtv, sort of an MTV
clone, where cartoons were sliced and diced and set to different
tunes, from classical to pop."

Here's a newsgroup thread about Disney's DTV:

I hope another Researcher will be able to identify the song.

We are getting very close. I do remember the MTV rip off logo DTV but
when I searched that on Google I found nothing good and so I assumed I
was getting memories crossed. At any rate I am glad someone else
actually remembers this program and I hope we can get a name of the
song. I may be wrong but I think the song played at the credits was
also used on some old sports highlight clips.

I don't know the name of the song, but I know where to find it.
Look for VHS tapes of the old DTV videos. I just got "Pop and Rock" at
and the end of the video during the credits, the theme is being
played.
There is a good chance that the music is probably something not
commercially available, since it was used by Disney and I've heard it
used in public service commericals etc. I hope we can someday find out
who did the song.

I have to say if it is not exact, it is some kind of ripoff or
rearrangement of Blondie's "Call Me." It starts the song with that
same kind of melody, even if the rhythm or melody is varied. I loved
DTV and still do; if its available on DVD I need to find out.
