The National Weather Service is a PUBLICALLY-held entity... Consider its URL: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/ Any org that is listed with a .gov end-exchange necessitates that it be a public, govt.-run entity. According to http://www.nws.noaa.gov/admin.php: "The National Weather Service is a component of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA is an Operating Unit of the U.S. Department of Commerce." That's right, the weather is run by Big Brother, too. If that's all you really needed, perfect! Otherwise, request clarification!
