Where does the following come from?

I ask no heaven till earth be thine
Nor glory crown while work of mine
Remaineth here, when earth shall shine
Among the stars.
Her sins wiped out, her captives free,
Her voice a music unto thee
For crown, new work give thou to me
Lord, here am I

Halbird,

Regarding this quote (and the others you've posted in subsequent
questions), do you recall any details at all about where you might
have heard or read them?

My copy of 'Grainger's Index to Poetry' gives the author as unknown,
but says that it was quoted in 'Sourcebook of Poetry, Al Bryant, comp.
(c1968) Zondervan Publishing House'.

Don't know if that will help you track it down.

It is also quoted online at
http://www.nnu.edu/wesleyctr/books/1801-1900/HDM1805.PDF , "Articles
by Paul Pumpelly compiled by Duane V. Maxey" but again the author is
given as "Sel." whatever that might mean.
