Question ID: 570677
I would like to know what percentage of United States residents are
smokers as of 2005.

I am aware that as of May 2004,the U.S. government estimated that
22.5% of Americans were smokers (see:
http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/factsheets/AdultCigaretteSmoking_FactSheet.htm).
However, I have not been able to find any data for the current year.

The data I need must be from a report or survey conducted in 2005.
Ideally, the report would be from as late in the year as possible
(i.e., a September 2005 report would be preferable to a January 2005
report). Naturally, I would prefer that the data be from a reputable
source such as the government or a respected polling agency.

Thanks very much in advance.
