"Agur eta ohore" is a common phrase which means "Goodbye (farewell)
and honor" in the Basque language. Could this be the phrase you're
looking for?

"One said Agur eta ohore eusko gudaria (Farewell and honour to the Basque warrior)"

Yes, I suspect this is the phrase I was talking about.
It was on a poster in a bar in Bilbao.
