I want to know how I can install Xandros Linux Open Circulation Edition so it coexists with Windows XP on a single hard drive. I have partitioned my drive with PartitionMagic 8 so that the first 100 MB are free, and then Windows XP takes up the next 40 GB. Is there a way I can use Xandros' installation CD to install Linux, without wiping out the XP partition? Or, should I use another method? |

Actually, the installation CD should 'see' the XP installation and install in your other partition. Here is an article: http://distrocenter.linux.com/article.pl?sid=04/12/23/2041209&tid=127 I don't use Xandros, but it looks like a nice alternative. FE |
