Hi halbird Not proving easy to track this/these for you. No trace in these works which are on-line (as are a few of the shorter poems): The Antiquary The Black Dwarf The Heart of Midlothian Ivanhoe Kenilworth The Lay of the Last Minstrel A Legend of Montrose Rob Roy The Talisman The Tapestried Chamber or The Lady in the Sacque Waverley If you're working on an academic project (my researcher's nose - I can't stop myself) you might get help from nineteenth century specialists in Scottish Literature departments at Scottish universities, e.g. Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St. Andrews. For instance, at Glasgow see this list: http://www.arts.gla.ac.uk/SESLL/ScotLit/staff.htm Good luck - hope someone tracks down the reference for you. Leli |
