The HMAS brisbane was the third of the RAN's (Royal Australian Navy) American-built "Charles. F. Adams", class guided-missiles destroyers. (The other two were HMAS Hobart and HMAS Perth.) These ships were the first major Australian warships designed and built in America. They carried a complement of 20 officers and 312 sailors. I'm diving the HMAS Brisbane in November. The HMAS brisbane was scuttled on Sunday 31 July 2005. The ship lies in approx 28m of water, located approximately 2.9 miles to the east of Mudjimba Island, Queensland, Australia. In order to make the best of my introduction to wreck diving, I am looking for detailed plans (both section and elevations) of this class of destroyer. I hope this question doean't lead to a breach of any nation's national security. This is not my intention. | |
