Dear axel_coperty,

The last version of Turbo Pascal developed by Borland was 7.01, from
1993. Although no new versions have been developped since that time,
the English version of TP 7.01 is not available for free yet.

However, Borland France made the full French version of Turbo Pascal
7.01 freeware some years ago. It is not really a French version, since
only the help file is in French, while the Integrated Development
Environment and the Compiler are completely in English. It used to be
available for free download on the website of Borland France, but it
isn't anymore. I managed to locate an alternative download site [1]
for the freeware version of Turbo Pascal 7.01. Click this link to
download:
ftp://ftp-developpez.com/pascal/turbo-pascal/tp7.zip

In case the link above does not work, I have prepared a mirror you can
use to download:
home.arcor.de/webspacenutzer/google/tp7.zip

In case you prefer the latest English version of Turbo Pascal that's
legally available for free download, you can get Turbo Pascal 5.5
direct from Borland [2]:

As for another free download of Pascal, you can try these:

Free Pascal
http://www.freepascal.org/
Download: http://www.tmt.com/pub/tmtp390d.zip

TMT Pascal Lite 3.90
Download: http://www.tmt.com/pub/tmtp390d.zip

Hope this is what you were looking for!

Scriptor

Dear axel_coperty,

There is no Turbo Pascal version designed for Windows XP.
Unfortunately, development of Turbo Pascal was disconinued year before
Win XP appeared. However, the 7.01 version of Turbo Pascal works with
the DOS emulation of Win XP, albeit not as smoothly as desirable.

Free Pascal, on the other hand, is designed for and will work under Windows XP.
