My wife, 63 years old, is ADHD. My son, age 29, is also ADHD.
So, ADHD among adults is something I have experience with, though I am
not a doctor or anything.
Some years ago, we had another ADHD in our Boy Scout troop. His doctor
told him if he was out and about without his ritalin or other
prescribed amphetaimine, he should take a cup of coffee in the
morning.
We finally realized on weekdays when my wife went to work, she also
drank coffee with other workers, and was relatively calm all day. On
weekends, when she chose not to make coffee just for herself, well,
our weekends were shall we say interesting?
Let me point out another theory, not mine, but a group of doctors who
claim ADHD is a result of repeat prescriptions for antibiotics for
small children with ear infections. They claim the antibiotics clean
the intestines of beneficial bacteria, and they get major yeast
infections. The yeast responds very negatively to sugar, and the
byproducts cause the symptoms.
I do know my son had zillions of ear infections, and always he got
antibiotics. Alas, when my wife was a kid, they didn't have
antibiotics. However, other parents where I worked also admitted their
ADHD kids had lots of ear infections.
Alas, when I retired in 1997 and moved, I did not keep the literature
for that group of doctors who claim treating people for yeast
infections will cure ADHD.
there are natural cures for yeast infection.
