I'm not sure if your version of OE will have this, but I
think it will:

First, compact OE folders by highlighting the main Outlook
Express folder and then by: File -> Folders -> Compact All Folders.

Then locate your storage folder by going to Tools -> Options ->
Maintenance tab -> Store Folder button. You can copy and paste
the text of the location into a text program like notepad.

Let me know if this works for you.

I meant to add that all the folders in OE will have a filename
in the location specified that has a .dbx extension. There will
also be a Folders.dbx file that contains information about the
folder structure. You want to back up everything in the folder
cited in the Store Folder location.

No, sorry, you must be talking about the OS X or Windows version.
There is no "Store" or anything like it in my OE folder. I checked the
Help pane about folders, it says mail is stored in Local Folders on my
hard disk (which I already knew) but gives no info about where they're
stored or what they're named.

I'm not positive, but if OE on a Mac is the same program,
it will have files with a .dbx extension. A search for those
in Local Folders should point you to the storage folder.

Let me know...

No, I'm afraid there are o files on my hard disk with suffix .dbx.
Must be specific to Windows.
