Question ID: 571363
How many mobile phone subscribers in the United States currently have a
Java-enabled handset?

I am looking for a relatively recent figure - 2005 or year-end 2004. I
do not need the
"worldwide" number, but the US statistic. I do *not* mean "How many
handset models in the market can use Java", but rather how many cell phone
users in the U.S. can receive SOME sort of Java application on their
mobile phone today -- note that this is for any type of Java app, NOT
necesarily more advanced functions like video clips. Lastly, I need to
be able to cite the source.
