Question ID: 571598
It seems as though with heightened security the past few years,
individual states are starting to require fingerprinting for summer
camp counselors.
1. Is there a resource that lists the current up to date fingerprint
requirements (ie for 2006 and beyond?) or upcoming future requirements
for each US state for summer camp counselors?
2. Is there a national company that can fingerprint counselors working
in each state? (In particular we are looking at New York, New Jersey
and Michigan but want to learn about other states as well) Costs?
3. If not, what can a company do to fingerprint their summer camp
counselors when they have camps in many different states?

Thanks
matt

Hello mateo-ga,

I think you'll have a better chance of getting an answer if you break
this up into at least two separate questions. There may not be an
answer to one or more of the three questions you've posted so
researchers will not be able to help you if they can answer only one
of them. Just a suggestion to help maximize your Google Answers
experience.

Many companies and organizations that require fingerprinting send the
appropriate form to the applicant and have them get the fingerprinting
done at their local police department or other law enforcement agency.
Have you considered this option? What have you done about
fingerprinting in the past?

Good luck.

To the potential answerers to my question/s:

The most important answer is needed for number 2. If there is a
national company that can finger print for each state, they be able to
answer questions 1 and 3... A sufficient answer to number 2 will earn
the answer compensation and may help me or the researcher with answers
to numbers 1 and 3

I put all these questions together as if one cant find an answer to
question 2, then the researcher may be able to answer 1 and/or 3.

Ultimately, my goal is to find a company or way to finger print in all
states who can keep us updated on changes in laws on the federal or
state to state level.

Hope this helps clarify

Thanks
Matt

Hi -

You might look at http://www.promissor.com/ - they can provide
fingerprinting services at their test centers, and claim to have test
centers within easy driving distance of 95% of the US population.
Their website provides no prices, though.

An alternative is http://www.a24hournotary.com/finger.html - they
charge $45 to go to a location, then $15 per fingerprint card, and
state that they offer "volume discounts".

Hope this helps,
