I am looking for information, fact or myth, about if you can die from
a sneeze. I heard once if you plug your nose and close your mouth
when you sneeze the force can be so great it damages your brain. Also
I have heard things about sneezing so hard organs fall out of your
body. Any info on these urban legends or facts to prove or disprove
would be great. Thanks!

Thank you for the link, great stuff! I should have known Google
Answers already had the info I was looking for. However, I would
still be interested to know what possible damages or myths relate to
sneezing events other than holding in a sneeze. If there are links
out there that discuss sneezing urban legends or facts about the rare
dangers of sneezing I would gladly take them as an answer. Thanks!

Sometimes one can stifle a sneeze by pressing a finger up under the
nose against the part between the nostrils. This is, of course,
different from your question about not letting it come out. For some
reason, it turns off the urge to sneeze.

If you're having a hard time sneezing (when you have to sneeze but
can't), look at a very bright light, or the sun, for about 2-3
seconds. Works like a charm.
