Hi

What are the characteristics of US Viagra (Sildenafil) consumers in
the early phase after the launch, say somewhere in 1998-2000? (Viagra
was launched in the US in March 1998).

I already have detailed information on the age distribution and gender
ratio of Viagra consumers ( Int J Impot Res 16(4):313-318, 2004
Patterns of Use of Sildenafil Among Commercially Insured Adults in the
United States: 1998-2002 ).

What I am looking for is data providing information on the Viagra
consumers stratisfied by:
(1) marital status (i.e. single or married)
(2) geographic distribution across the US (i.e. data how much consumed
in cities versus rural areas, may be there is a list on consumption by
the 50 states).
(3) consumption patterns by race (i.e. white, blacks, hispanic)
(4) sexual orientation
(5) income classes (rich, middle-class, or poor).

You don't have to answer all these five points. Actually, if you can
answer already two of these five points with a comprehensive data set
(or even one point, if the data source is really rich and
representative) I will gladly consider the question as answered.

Note, it should be representative data and you should provide the
source for your answer, don't just ask your friends now...

Also, you don't need to provide the answer for all years (1998-2000).
If you have one point in time, that is fine.

Many Thanks for your help !

Clarification:

Thanks to Bobbie for pointing this out !

I underscore, that the information about the Viagra users should be a
representative for the US population, or at least for one state in the
US. Information about a sugroup, like homosexuals only, is not
representative.
