I want to know how many olympic sports there are (how many golden
medals), and how many of them are related to water, such as sailing, rowing,
swimming etc.
-make a distinction between summer and winter sports
-list all water related sports briefly
-feel free and creative to categorise the results (eg IN water, ON
water etc)-max tip $1.00
-it has got to do with surface water: river, lake, pool, sea etc. not
snow or drinking water.
it serves in a paper to show that people are attracted to water.

Check this out:

http://www.olympic.org/uk/sports/index_uk.asp

Note that under aquatic four different types are listed, and then that
there are many classifications for medals within most type of sport:
men, women, distances, different boat classifcations in rowing,
canoeing, etc.

What about ice hockey and curling as evidence of attraction to water
even in the depth of winter?

Tiesrjicken,
I do too. Artificial rinks are just that, artificial. The zing and
ring of skates and the sound of a curling stone on natural ice on a
lake or river are just unique and wonderful. Gosh, it seems ages
since that last long distance skating race on the canals in Holland.

I am just a commenter; only GA-Researchers, whose names appear in
blue, can "answer" questions. I figured that you could count the
number of Olympic competitions from that site.
good luck, Myoarin
