I have 2 flat panel monitors and one lcd/tv. I also have two
different video cards. The first on that is already installed is ati
radeon x300 128 MB and another one that I just bought: Radeon 9250
256 MB PCI video card. The x300 is a PCI express card and the 9250 is
just your ordinary pci video card. The guy at the computer store told
me that that's all i needed, but when I install the 2nd pci card my
computer won't boot and the installation software says that the
drivers installation failed. I'm pretty sure I am manually installing
the pci card in the right slot, but for some reason it does not boot
up. Somebody please help me install. The goal is just to have 3
monitors running simultaneously. THANKS!

I have seen 3 monitor setups before and they cool. From the sounds of
it your BIOS is what it letting you down. The BIOS can't held 3
monitors so it's failling. I assume if you take the PCI card out the
computer still boots fine. Then you best bet is to get you BIOS
upgraded which is less scary then it sounds. If your computer is a
Dell, IBM or the like then type the model number into the support
website by the company and follow the directions. (Usely somthing like
download this file copy to floppy or CD then boot with it in and let
it run) If your computer isn't brand name then fine the make and model
on the mother board and type it into google to pull up the website of
the maker. Again find BIOS update and follow the directions.

Hope this Helps

(3 monitors really are super cool ;))

It's not possible to run the three VDU on one time. Since you are
using the two cards and having the three display units. And another
thing is not possible to support by the single processor. Nowadays
they are developing dual processor at good performance. You Upgrade
the version of BIOS so that it is supported by your BIOS or check the
BIOS Manufacturer to this type of Techniques available or not.

I am trying to do the same thing. I have three 19" LCD monitors. It's
on a Sony Vaio. The original video card is a Radeon X300 in the PCI
express slot, then I added a Radeon 9250 in a PCI slot. My O/S is
Windows XP Media Center 2005. When I first installed my new video
card, I got everything to work except for my TV function, the sound
would work but I only got a black screen. I downloaded a patch from
ATI (I think it was catalyst 5.??) then I got the picture to work. I
now have a different problem. The monitor that is on my new video card
(Radeon 9250) goes black after several minutes, then awhile later my
coputer freezes. I had emailed ATI and they had said something about
updateing the BIOS. How do I update the BIOS? When I tryed to update
it told me that I had the latest version. Does anyone have a three
moniter set up that can help. When it's working right it's pretty
cool. I can have different programs running on each monitor. I also
have the sample version of Ultramon. I can have my desktop spanned on
all three monitors.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance.
