How do you want to specify the image pixel and region for the measurement?

For example, do you want a graphical user interface to pick the pixel
/ region or do you have a regular set of pixels / regions you need to
process?

Thanks Maniac for ur response, No, wrote a program that divide colored
image into 8X8 block of pixels  and i want to know how compute mean (
avarage) intensity for this block?
