Question ID: 572720
A programmer is looking for a commercial Java (SWT, Swing, etc.) grid component.

The list of desired features follows:

1. Group-able headers in MS Outlook style. For example, if the columns
are Name, Date, Comment, you should be able to group entries by Name
and inside every name by Date. Please see how it works in MS Outlook.
Just in case: this is not the same as sorting.

2. Sorting and Filtering.

3. Master/Detail functionality. This can be explained as an
opportunity to open a Master grid entry as a "Detail grid inside the
Master grid".

4. This should not be an open source component: my customer has an
issue with open source code. However, if there is something really
good in open source category, I may want to take a look at it, anyway.

If there is no exact match for 1-4 please list "close enough"
candidates and specify which requirements are satisfied.

Even if there is a single perfect match, I need several (5-10?)
possible candidates for evaluation.

It would be great if you had some experience with component(s) as a programmer
using it in your app. If so, please briefly describe it.

Any extra details/info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a question.

Are u going to use this in web.(like in JSP Pages)?.

if so there is an open sourse which will fullfill all ur requirements.

That is "Display tag libraries"

Just look into this website.

http://displaytag.sourceforge.net/tut_basic.html
This is so great and i have used in two of my projects.

If u need any thing more reply me.

This is for a desktop application (not web).

Thanks!
