I want to create a laser beam sensor that will act as a zone in a standard alarm system. I need someone to help me design a circuit. The laser beam transmitter has to continuously transmit an 8-bit pulse every X number of seconds (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1). The beam has to be visible at all times (constant beam, pulse contained within it). The receiver will check received pulse; if pulse is not valid then a relay must be Opened or Closed (as defined by a jumper). The 8-bit pulse must be settable by 8x jumpers; pulse delay must also be settable. There must be a jumper to switch pulse functionality on/off (if Off then a constant beam will be expected by the receiver). The receiver must also have a jumper to allow 1 invalid pulse when On. Both circuits must be completely independent - separate power sources. All components should be obtainable from a hardware/electronics store. |
