Hello. I am looking for antique clock shops in Berlin, Germany.
General antique shops are a okay, as long as they are likely to have
lots of clocks, and clock stores that sell modern clocks as well as
antique ones are fine. My ideal results would be two or more names of
shops, along with the address, phone number, and hopefully the hours
they're open.

I have found one site that appears quite certain to have lots of
antique clocks. I have also found advertisements for other shops that
advertise in the category of antique clocks (among other categories),
though I'm not certain whether they will have lots of clocks. (I can
also suggest an antique mall that is likely to have one or more shops
with clocks -- it was my favorite single place to go antiquing when I
lived in Berlin.)

Would this information be sufficient?

Yes, that information would be fine. Thank you.

Hello anjaru,

A site for a shop that should have lots of antique clocks (as
indicated by the site's content) is:

Uhren Bischoff
http://www.uhren-bischoff.de/

The address, phone number, and hours are listed at:

"Impressum"
Uhren Bischoff
http://www.uhren-bischoff.de/impressum.htm

"Anfahrt und Öffnungszeiten"
Uhren Bischoff
http://www.uhren-bischoff.de/plan.htm

Four other shops in Berlin, under the category Uhren, subcategory
Antiquitäten, are listed in the GelbeSeiten
(http://www.gelbeseiten.de/yp/quick.yp). You would need to search for
Uhren under "Was/Wen" and Berlin under "Wo," and then select
Antiquitäten in the drop-down menu. The link "mehr Informationen"
leads to ads for the stores. You'd probably want to call them first
to find out whether a significant number of clocks are currently
offered.

My favorite Berlin location for antiques is:

Berliner Antik- und Flohmarkt
http://www.berliner-antikmarkt.de/index_flash.html

I couldn't guarantee lots of clocks in this Antikmarkt. But from my
experience in browsing there for various items (including pocket
watches) during 2001-02, I think it's a safe bet that there are at
least some. Note that the site's main page mentions "Uhren" among the
selections.

Search strategy --

Aside from searching in German yellow pages, I searched on Google for
the following terms, in combinations or individually:

berlin
uhren
antiquitaeten
"antike uhren"
antik
friedrichstrasse
"antikmarkt berlin"

Exactly what I was looking for, in particular the first place listed. Thank you.
