Discoronin,

According to CEA's 2005 CE Ownership and Market Potential Study,
current HDTV penetration is at 13 percent (sales adjusted) or
approximately 14.4 million households. About 10 million households say
they plan to buy an HDTV within the next year.

Growth

According to Peter Wilson of High Definition & Digital Cinema Ltd., in
terms of market penetration HD televisions were present in only 17
percent of U.S. households last year, a number that will grow to 22
percent this year and will exceed 55 percent in 2008

Additional information:

"According to the latest factory-to-dealer DTV sales released today by
CEA, 2.3 million units have been shipped through April of this year.
These sales figures mark a 36 percent increase over the same period
2004 in unit sales and a 16 percent increase in dollar sales. CEA
Market Research projects that 15 million DTV units will be sold in
2005 alone.

CEA forecasts that 9 million DTV products with tuners will be sold
this year, 16.7 million in 2006, 27 million in 2007 and 33 million in
2008. "By 2009 we will have sold 97 million DTV tuners, and we
estimate that digital over-the-air tuners will be found in 86 percent
of American homes," Shapiro stated.

Trends

"CEA forecasts DTV factory revenue to climb to more than $17.6 billion
by the end of 2005, while DTV product sales climb to more 20.2 million
units, as smaller, lower-priced DTVs replace traditional analog
models.

New display technologies are boosting DTV growth, with sales of plasma
TV projected to reach 1.4 million units on $3.5 billion in factory
dollars. LCD TV sales are expected to climb to 3.8 million units, on
factory sales of more than $3 billion."

This is awesome information. However, would it be possible to get a
break down on the size of the DTVs that are being bought. Example, I
would like to know market share for LCD, Plasma, Glass tube, flat
panel etc... and the associated screen sizes being purchased. First
the average size then a breakdown. Follow this up with trends if
possible. Thanks again.
