I have several Sony Memory sticks which will work fine in the cameras
(take pictures or videos) but when I try to unload the pictures on my
PC, I sometimes do get errors (such as pic is not found) and if I use
an external USB Card reader (I have tried several of them), the reader
will not even recognize them. Since I do not have the same problem
with other cards, does anyone know what the problem with them is ??

I have had the same problem.  You have to right-click on the
"Unplug-Eject Icon" next to your clock on the bottom right corner of
your screen and follow those steps to unplug the device.  Otherwise it
will randomly not recognize the card reader when you stick it in.  I
have lost HUNDREDS of pictures until I figured this out and have had 0
problems since (5 months).

i have had the same problem.you try to change the usb enter and my
fiend had this problem too and told me that he had to use his warrnty
and replace it because there is some problems with the 1GB memory
sticks

None of your solutions helped me. I tried but no luck. The problem is
that my PC recognizes the Memory Card Reader very well (as a matter of
fact with other Memory Sticks it works fine) but it won't work with
some 1GB Memory sticks I have (i have like 10). I have tried these
cards on other memory card readers of my friends (different PC's as
well) and they didn't work either. But obviously, as already
explained, when I use these memory sticks in the Sony cameras, they
work just fine !!

If someone can still help me, please go ahead for it!!
