What are the 5 best statistical programs in America at the masters
level? By best I mean a comparison of quality vs. cost - with greater
emphasis being placed on cost. So if a school has the 20th place
quality, but the lowest price and a different school has the 15th
place quality but the 5th highest price, the 20th place school would
place higher. Quality is, of course, a non-quantitative rating,
however there are standardized measuring systems available - I just
don't know where or what they are.

Hello pofigster-ga,

Please exlain further what you're looking for. When you ask, "What are
the 5 best statistical programs in America at the masters level?" are
you wanting to find information about colleges and universities with
master's programs in statistics? Or, are you asking about the
statistical ranking of colleges and universities?

Please explain what you mean by your reference to "quality vs. cost"
and the ranking you refer to using "20th place" or "5th highest price"
as examples.

If you are asking about school rankings, please tell us about what
locations you're interested in and what types of schools or majors.

I look forward to your clarification.

I'm looking for information about colleges and universities with
master's programs in statistics. Basically, I'm looking for rankings
of schools with said master's programs in statistics. Location is
less of a concern than is cost. When I say quality vs. cost I mean
I'm intersted in knowing which schools offer the best programs for the
best price. For example, an Ivy League school is very expensive - and
undoubtable a very high quality education. But, another school, might
very well offer a comperable quality education - but for a fraction
the price (innevitable a state-school). So I'm more interested in a
quality education - but without a price tag similar to that of a
house.

Dear Profigster,

I can provide you with an answer, but quality rankings usually do not
differentiate between PhD and Matsers' programs, putting them all
under "graduate". Would it be OK if I'd used ranking regarding PhD
programs as well?

That's fine.
