Aa2002,

A few more table details, please:

- Round, square, rectangular?
- Approximate dimensions? To seat how many people?
- Natural finish? Stained? How light/dark?
- Style? Danish modern, Oriental, etc.?
- Wood or metal base?
- Acceptable price range?

Thanks.

Would like rectangular table, should seat at least 6. Style: harvest
table or simple oriental/ colonial style. Stained, very light finish,
wood base. I do not have a good view on prices, am thinking around
$1000. - Thanks.

Dear aa2002:

From personal experience, I would suggest Smith and Harken as a fine,
reliable source of teak tables. Teak is used both indoors and
outdoors due to its fine weathering characteristics. Please examine
the Smith and Harken website:
  http://www.smithandhawken.com/jhtml/site/catalog/Category.jhtml?CATID=60&PARENTCATID=10

Ancara is another vendor who has teak designs at a reasonable price.
     http://www.anacaracompany.com/about1.htm

And Refinish Furniture lists teak tables as well.
     http://www.refinishfurniture.com/od_picnic_table.htm

If you are concerned about how an umbrella hole would look on an
indoor table, please inquire about "plugs' which are commonly used to
disquise the hole for exclusive indoor use. I found a vase that fit
beautifully in the hole and had fresh flowers on my table all the
time.

If the information provided is not exactly what you want, I would be
happy to provide clarification.

The following links are added resources for teak tables some of which
do not have an umbrella hole in the center...

aa2002...

I have located a resource in Indonesia, with a website:
http://www.joglo.com/

"Joglo is a well-known wholesale furniture manufacturer
and furniture exporter of new, handcrafted, Dutch-colonial
style reproductions of antique teak furniture."

A page where you can view many options in teak,
some of which can be custom-made to your
specifications for stain and dimensions, is:
http://www.joglo.com/diningroom-1.html

They accommodate on-line ordering, on this page:
http://www.joglo.com/placeoforder.html

The order page does not clarify if an individual may
place an order of one dining room set, nor are the
prices and shipping costs disclosed on the website.

Therefore, I emailed the company, using information
on their contact page:
http://www.joglo.com/contactus.html

Joglo Gallery & Workshop :
Jl. Raya Babakan Madang No. 15
Sentul - Citeureup
Bogor - West Java - Indonesia

Gallery Phone: (62-21) 879-50603
Head Office Phone: (62-21) 570-8102
Fax: (62-21) 390-3904

Web site : http://www.joglo.com
Email : info@joglo.com

I asked if it is possible for an individual to use
their online order form, rather than a company,
for one dining room set, at wholesale prices,
and approximately the cost of their DR-TS5
dining set (a nice selection from their dining
room gallery page):
http://www.joglo.com/diningroom-1.html
including shipping to the United States.

I have not received an answer in time to include
it here, so I have not posted this as a formal
answer at this time. If this looks like a resource
you could use, post a clarification of your question,
and I will let you know their response as soon
as I receive it.

Hi aa2002...

I thought I'd let you know that Joglo
neither responded to my initial email
nor to a second one I sent with a
read-receipt request.
