I need to know the total number of newspapers (titles) and newspaper
publishers worldwide as well as the number of magazines and magazine
publishers

Per country would be good, but continent by continet will suffice.

I located the following data:

Number of magazine titles by country for 48 countries (2002)

Number of newspapers titles by country for 129 countries (1997=2000)

Number of newspaper publishers in the United States

Number of magazine publishers in Sweden

Number of magazine publishers in South Africa

Number of magazine publishers in Spain

Number of magazine publishers in Mexico

Number of magazine publishers in Poland

Number of magazine publishers in Austria 

Number of magazine publishers in Ireland


Please let me know if my findings would be of your interest as the
