Currently I have 512mb ram (see below) and I would like to upgrade to 1gb or 2gb
but I don't know if I need 3 more times 512mb ram or if 1 time 512 and
1 time 1024 would do it as well to upgrade to 2gb. But my main
Question is that I'm looking for an online shop to buy this ram (512
and/or 1024) and if possible the payment should be paypal or by
creditcard but without any social security number verification because
I'm not an u.s. citizen. If it's generally not possible to order
without ssn that just give me some shops with ssn verification and
those that ship to AZ.

Thanks!

3m1n3m...

I'm a bit confused. I've never heard of an online shop
that DID require SSN. Has this been a common experience
for you?

Whether you want 3 x 512 or a 512 and a 1024 will depend
on how many slots are available on your motherboard. You
also need to know the limits for the board and for each
slot.

Let me know...

Hi,
well I just saw that it was necessary to enter the ssn on some
computer sites so I guessed it was done generally but nevermind now. I
just checked and saw that I got 2 free slots but I don't know anything
about the limit for the board and each slot...just that it's Nforce2.

When I was looking at crucial.com it told me that this memory is right
for my computer, http://www.crucial.com/store/MPartspecs.Asp?mtbpoid=545C0000A5CA7304&WSMD=T2825&WSPN=CT352934
but it's just 512...Can I also get 1024 and if so, where? Thanks.

I just went again on the site that xelon posted and realized that ...

System Type
Desktop Computer
Maximum Memory
1024MB
Standard Memory
512MB removable
Slots/Banks
2 (2 banks of 1)

Too bad I cannot get more -(

Go to crucial.com, and let it scan your computer. It will tell you
about what slots you have free, and will give a list of memory boards
which are compatible with your computer.

Hope this helps,
Marcus

Ok simple solution.

www.itsallpc.co.uk and post there about only PC problems or advice. I
am a Global Mod there called Chris.

I recommend ebuyer.com though.
