Hey there, can anyone let us borrow access to a Yahoo Beta email
account (based on Oddpost's webmail that Yahoo bought a while back).
We're developing an anti-phishing plug-in which already works for the
regular Yahoo mail (and Hotmail) but will break when Yahoo upgrades
their webmail. Here's our company http://www.iconix.com. We
absolutely won't use it for Spam or any other malicious purpose. It
will only be used for internal development and testing. We'd need
access to the account until the beta became publically available.

Here are two pages from Yahoo on trials of Yahoo! Mail Beta:

"Hi there! We are humbled by your interest in the new Yahoo! Mail Beta"
Yahoo!
http://surveylink.yahoo.com/wix/p0473306.aspx

"How can I try out the beta?"
Yahoo!
http://help.yahoo.com/help/in/mail/beta/beta-08.html

The second page might be more immediately helpful. If you have access
to Yahoo! mail accounts already, one or more of them might already
offer a trial of the beta version.

If this suggestion works for you, I'd be happy to post it as an answer.

Hi justaskscott-ga,

For the second option, the beta wasn't available to any of our
accounts so far (we have been looking).

For the first suggestion, I requested access from the link you
provided. If we get access then I'll let you know and that would
definitely qualify as an answer.

Some people from our dev team have already applied for access through
the second link justaskscott-ga provided (they saw it on Slasdot).
Apparently, Yahoo has been pretty tight on giving people access. I
applied for 4 of our test accounts so if any of those are accepted,
then justaskscott-ga got us the answer.

Otherwise, we are still looking for someone that already has access
that would allow us temporary access to their account.
