Question ID: 574988
When I write a word in MSFT Word that begins with I, it automatically
capitalizes it -- and I have to go back, erase the "I" and type it
again to get the "i" I want. It does not distinguish between "I" and,
say, "institution." Do you know how to set it so that Msft word does
not automatically capitalize I?

Thanks.

Hi joestrom,

Please follow these steps and let me know if it solves your problem:

Click the Format pulldown menu
Select AutoFormat-->Options-->AutoCorrect

Check the option that states "Replace text as you type" and search in
the lower box for the the "i" and "I". You can delete this option and
that will fix your problem.

Looking forward to your clarification.

Best regards,
Rainbow
