I found a full time job I would like to work, but after gas +
insurance, taxes and a car payment I am about -$16 in the hole. This
is after a 40hour work week at 8 hours a day. Does the goverment
offer any assistance programs to help pay all other bills, besides the
necesities to work the job, if I chose to work at a job like this?

I live in and area where there are no buses, and yes I would be glad
to use one if it were available. The community is still very small,
and you have to travel to have a job. Besides it's a requirement of
this company that you have your own transportation, or they won't hire
you.

I work/live in florida. My wife currently makes about 30,000 a year,
so that makes me in-eligible for most programs. The way I see it
there is no help, just have to work 80 hours a week. I guess it's
just a shock comming to florida and seeing how much it costs to live
here and how low the wages are. I don't really need help now.
Decided to go with the two job thing. I hear it's very common here
anyway. It would be nice to work for disney, but I just can't afford
to pay them for me to work.

Have you considered reducing your expenses by jettisoning the car and
using public transportation? Being saddled with a car payment can make
a big difference in lifestyle when you have a low-paying job. I speak
as one who knows: for several years I was a bus-rider.

If public transportation is not an option, perhaps you need a less
expensive car. If your car payments were lowered, that would free up
some income for you.

If you use tha car for business, you should be able to deduct the
milegae on your taxes or expense it to the company.

Sounds to me like you qualify for Food Assistance from your state.
It's likely you can apply online. You didn't mention your state so I
can't provide a link for you.

Try a local bill consolidation (non-profit only) agency, they might be
able to renegotiate your car loan for you. I did this once, the lender
doesn't like it, but if you can show hardship they will work with you.
