I read a column in the NY Times within the last 60 days about special
purpose taxing districts and at the end of the article the columnist
refered to a book about this subject or was reviewing the book. I
would like to find the article and the book. I tried the NY times
archive and got no hits. Thank you

As you know, there are dozens of articles in the NY Times over the
past few months on special purpose taxing districts.  The best way for
you or another researcher to find the likely culprit is to look for a
keyword that would reduce the number of results:
*  was a specific city mentioned?
*  was anyone quoted that was memorable?
*  was it in the Sunday Times?
*  did it mention any agencies or organizations that had studied the issue?

Hi Ted,

I did a pretty thorough search of newspaper databases, and didn't see
any recent NYT articles on this topic.


Other papers did carry this topic, though, including:

Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Tampa Tribune 

Newsday 

The Washington Post

Hartford Courant 

St. Petersburg Times 

The Boston Globe

Albany Times Union

New York Daily News



Are you sure you saw it in The Times?

Also, I didn't see any mention of a book being mentioned in these
articles.  Again, are you sure of the book mention?
