Whenever a question seeks information from sources other than the Internet, additional time will be required in the research. If a Researcher is going to make a personal visit to a library or other repository of reference material, I think it would be appropriate to offer a substantially larger fee than $5. This kind of project may take several hours. |

Don't give up on the web yet: http://home.worldonline.es/agallar/ http://centros5.pntic.mec.es/ies.juanelo.turriano/ELARTIF.htm http://www.uh.edu/engines/epi246.htm http://www.blackbird.vcu.edu/v1n1/nonfiction/king_e/prayer_4.htm http://www.du.edu/~jcalvert/tech/fluids/turbine.htm http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0801872480/ref=sib_dp_pt/103-8674283-2599804#reader-link The 21 books have been translated: "A. G. Keller, ed and trans., The twenty-one books of engineering and machines of Juanelo Turriano [c. 1590-1600] (Madrid, 1999)." A Spanish edition sells for Euro 750 or 900, depending on the source. This site has a book about him (under J), but it may concentrate on his clocks and automats: http://www.trantiques.com/techrepair.html |
