What is the web addresses, in India, of board certified doctors, in 24
medical specialty boards?. . . for people looking for good doctors,
who can and cannot afford the high medical costs in the U.S., as
mentioned in medicalcountries.org? The language should be in English,
as professionals in India speak English. Each listed web address
should provide lists of individual board certified physicians and
should be titled to indicate the specialty represented. If you
cannot match this request, what is the closest you can come to it.

I belive the site you mentioned in your question is
www.medicalcountries.com (NOT org), which lists a number of resources
available for facilities in India. However, several of their links
are no longer viable.

Your best resources are probably the lists of doctors prepared by the
US Embassy in India as referrals to citizens needing medical
assistance. These lists are mentioned on the medicalcountries.org
sites, although the links posted are not working.

The lists are compiled for several large cities in India. For
instance, here is the list for New Delhi:

http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/uploads/images/lHl-IGBudpwkru6M0kWxeQ/ACSdoclst1.pdf

and it covers about 30 medical specialties.

As the list itself notes, these are doctors the Embassy has had good reports about:

"While the choice of a physician is a personal matter, we have
provided a list of medical care providers in Embassy's consular district. The
Embassy neither endorses these providers nor guarantees their professional
competence. However, Americans have used these offices in that past and
generally have been pleased with the care they received..."

Is this the sort of list you are seeking?

If so, I can provide similar lists for a few other cities in India as
an answer to your question.

Let me know how you would like to proceed.

I am not looking for USembassy sites as I already know them. Both
medicalcountries.com, and medicalcountries.org will be up in a few
days. Besides, some of the doctors may or may not be board certified
on the USembassy sites.I just want a list of all doctors in India who
are board certified whether they are listed in the USembassy site or
not. Thanks

Hello ed777-ga,

Are you looking for a specific website that you know about but don't
know its name?

OR

Are you looking for websites that meet your description?

Is this the site?

http://www.indmedica.com/
Indmedica.com is run by Ind Medica Ltd., a public limited company
located in Chandigarh, UT, India. Started in 1997 by Dr. OP Sharma,
MS, FIAMS, it is one of India's longest-running medical websites, and
has been involved in a number of high profile events over the years
since it's inception. Dr. Sharma retired late in 2004, handing over

dream of providing free, fast and easy information to professionals
and the public, in the hope of benefiting all.

ed777-ga,

The phrase "board certified" seems to be one that applies mainly to
doctors in the US. I really don't find it being used in the context
of doctors in India.

Is there anything more you can tell me about what sort of list you are
seeking, or where you've come across such a list in the past.

India is a huge country with about a zillion and a half doctors. I'm
not sure there is a directory that captures all of them -- board
certified or otherwise -- in one place.

Let me know a bit more about what you need, if you can.

Thanks,

paf

The answers czh-ga, and bobbie7-ga gave most closely meet my
description and I consider them answers. Pafalafa-ga?s answer could be
useful to some but was not what I was looking for. But, if any of you
have more ideas please send them?
